About Us

Moravian English College is a small language school focused exclusively on providing advanced English language teaching and consultation. We are the only language school in the Olomouc region with an officially qualified Cambridge examiner. The school is run by an American living permanently in Olomouc with educational and teaching experience both in the United States and the Czech Republic. Our vision is to provide English language skills which will assist our students in reaching their specific educational and career goals. We have extensive experience with both the local university and the corporate environment. We are interested in close co-operation with other educational institutions, both domestic and abroad, as well as government institutions and local businesses.

Moravian English College offers a range of professional English language classes with a special focus on Cambridge exam preparation courses for the local business and student community. We are able to tailor design a program to meet your company or institutional needs.

Course participants may also use our small lending library which offers specialised literature ranging from past Cambridge tests, grammar and vocabulary exercises of various levels to fiction in English (both original and abridged, simplified versions for learning purposes). The library also offers a selection of DVD films in Czech or English with subtitles.

We are housed in a newly restored 16th century building in the picturesque centre of Olomouc, right off the Lower Square, near the town walls overlooking the city parks.
